Spring is my favorite time of the year. After the icy silence of the winter nights, the spring nights are very noisy: the frogs are having fun, pink flamingos and ducks are loudly expressing their affection, as well as a multitude of sparrows. In the distance, the sweet song of the nightingale can now be heard.

In the morning, the sky is bathed in beautiful warm colors, the birds present themselves in their most splendid plumage and the bee-eaters are the indisputable stars. But many other insectivorous birds also return and now find large numbers of mosquitoes that have hatched after the recent rains.

It is this beneficial rain that makes the pastures, yellowed by the cold, shine in lush green again and finally provides the animals with sufficient food.

Finally, the warm spring light reflected by the water lends an incomparable glow. It provides our delicate swallows, the symbolic bird of spring, with the warmth they need. Long live spring.Vive le printemps.

Spring is the promise of a bright future for all living creatures in the Camargue.

Vive le printemps.
