Alexandra Martinez

About me:

My name is Alexandra Martinez and I am a passionate photographer who fell in love with the incomparable beauty of the Camargue in the South of France.

The love of photography and nature are two things that I have had since childhood. Growing up in the Eifel with a variety of animals, I grew up with a deep respect and affection for all living things.

My journey took me to the Camargue for the first time about six years ago, where I was immediately attracted by the wild beauty of the landscape and the diversity of wildlife, especially the white Camargue horses and the diverse bird species.

I quickly decided to combine my passion for photography and wildlife and started offering photography workshops and hides in this beautiful region.

I specialize in photographing semi-wild Camargue horses and a variety of bird species. Every encounter with these wonderful creatures is an unforgettable experience for me and it is a pleasure for me to share these experiences with my clients. In particular, working with a herd of around 60 semi-wild Camargue horses has developed into a deep, trusting relationship that I am able to share in my workshops and photography courses.

In addition, I offer photo shoots that capture the typical image of the Camargue, such as galloping horses on the beach or in the swamp. But I also want to go deeper and offer the participants of my workshops the opportunity to immerse themselves with me in a hidden world and to explore and photograph the real life of the Camargue horses.

In my work as a photographer, I strive to capture the natural beauty and spirit of the Camargue in my images. I firmly believe that a deep respect and understanding for the wildlife is essential to create authentic and moving images.

As a passionate nature and animal lover, I place great importance on ethical photography. This means that I always maintain respect for nature and its inhabitants and never endanger their well-being for the sake of a photo.

I am very proud that through my work I have the opportunity to introduce other people to the beauty of the Camargue and its unique wildlife. It is a great pleasure for me to share my passion with others and to see my participants discover their own enthusiasm for the Camargue horses.

Thank you for your interest in my work and I look forward to meeting you at a shoot.

Sincerely, Your

Alexandra Martinez
